  2. Wow. I'm glad your son is OK. At least he has a couple of good stories to tell. In my formative years, I inserted a metal staple into a live electrical outlet once to see what would happen. That experience helped form me. I must have needed more forming, though. As an adult, I used a screwdriver once in an unapproved manner and created my very own light show. I still have the Craftsman screwdriver with a hickey on it to remind me of that experience. I'm a work-in-progress, but I know for sure that I'm not good with electricity. :)
  3. Thanks Gary. They look and feel even better in person. I'll try to get some decent photos of mine to show you. There's a fellow in the knife world that contracts with Great Eastern Cutlery on limited edition Barlows. A few years ago, I picked up four of them. My sister has two, and I have two. Great reminders of our dear old dad.

Case Canoes and Trappers are my other favorite folding knives. Just love the look and feel of those two models.

For everyday carry, Syperdco and Swiss Army are my 'go to' knives.
  4. Thank you Bill!

Love that SV setup and brush Mark!
  5. I see that your son was trying to do a more modern version of the great Ben Franklin experiment.:innocent

  6. me too..he was lucky..but it''s funny to tell the stories..i was always very mindful of electrical, especially with auto repair.a slip with a tool can be expensive with today's vehicles, the electric and hybrid vehicles deadly..i only do basics on home electrical.switches/sockets/fixtures.beyond that an electrician is called..:)

Late evening post. This back to work thing is impairing my ability to check the 30DC during the day. The other challenge is the internet availability on my phone at work is not existent. As a result, I am 300 posts behind. I do not believe I will catch up, so I will do what I can a pick up tomorrow. I am sure I will pass over some great posts.

Today’s shave was a nice one, not in the superb category but a DFS. The blade in the Valet VC4 gave a close shave, however, I did notice a bit of tugging on the whiskers. Therefore, it has met the bin.

I have not used this soap and splash in a while. It performed admirably and the scent is a pleasant one.

First week of work in the books with a lot of concerns moving forward.

Hope everyone has had a great day.
  9. Great shave Joe. Take care and good luck with work.
