I decided to pull out my Gem Damaskeene OC razor for the weekends this month. I really like this little razor. I find the shaves to be efficient and very smooth. I replaced the TNS Gel Boar knot with an untreated TNS Boar knot. After a couple of test lathers earlier in the week, I decided to give it a try bowl lathering this morning. The brush worked well. I anticipate it working much better after its fully broken-in. The Cade shave cream and balm is another gift from my wife. I can't describe the scent even though I really liked it. The cream was easy to lather and worked ok. I will give the cream a try with another brush. Overall a fantastic BBS shave.

My wife, Swati and I decided to spend the day in the North Ga mountains. Along the way we stopped at a couple of different wineries. While it is safe to say N GA is not Napa Valley, at least the views were good.





On the way back we actual stoped at a brewery making Mead. We both enjoyed the samples and it was something different.



Overall it was a great day out of the house. We were able to enjoy the mountains, some nice views and spend the day together all while following the social distancing and mask guidelines. I hope everyone had a wonderful Saturday

I had several nicks due to the leading edge of the blade sitting higher than the rear. It was just barely out of alignment, but it was enough considering it was new a Feather blade. It took a few attempts to seat the blade properly, but it should be fine on the next outing.

The Kent BK8 was one of the first brushes that I purchased. It is pillowy-soft, and I always enjoy using it. It requires more time to load it properly, but it was nice to have warm lather using a natural hair brush and my scuttle again.

Great shave, Clint! I like L’Occitane products! I’ve never tried their shave cream, but do have their discontinued Cade Deodorant. They make fine products. Sounds like you had a lovely day on your wine tour.
