Menthol Monday: I finally used a non Bundubeard setup but it was very difficult to select my soap this morning! Stirling Mentholated Pre Shave Soap Razorock Plissoft 26mm Monster Super Speed/Minora day 2 Stirling Glacial Black Cherry SS Stirling Glacial Unscented ASB B&M Arctique AS Splash These Glacial soaps are exactly at the same menthol level as Jaco’s Kameelperd’s Kick and his X 3s - no more, no less. The Glacial Black Cherry’s scent is so nice, the lather is a delight, like all Stirling soaps the slickness is unbeatable, and the menthol sensation feels like liquid nitrogen on your face, yet the skincare is so good. The Glacial Unscented balm is icy cold, the soothing feeling is terrific, and the moisturizing is among the best I’ve ever experienced. The Arctique aftershave is probably the coldest on Planet Earth and it smells beautiful. Today’s shave was A1 - so BBS and enjoyable! Have a great week - stay safe and healthy and remember to wear your masks when you go out! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I tried a cold water shave with Iced Pineapple the other night, seeing as it was a scorching hot day, and it was incredibly satisfying! Such a great soap.
100% correct. I still get emails from time to time asking what Creed scent Stirling Gentleman is based on, and I get to proudly reply "None. It's my own creation."
You should be very proud Rod! It’s a fantastic scent. I just got home from a quick vacation and opened my order which included a tub of Varen and matching splash. If I wasn’t feeling the onset of fall, I surely was after a few deep inhales of Varen! I just unwrapped a bar of Duke shampoo and am heading for the shower. I’m excited to try a new scent. Intrepid sounds like a strong contender for my next order. I’ll have to read the Creed reviews and know that Rod’s interpretation will be at least as good as the original.
Well the shampoo lathered and cleaned like a champion, but I’m not feeling the Duke scent.........at least not yet. I can’t place it, and sometimes my nose changes moods for no apparent reason, so I’ll see how the scent plays out as the bar wears down. I followed the shower with a shave using G&T on the Rocks, and the scent was a perfect end to a long day in the driver’s seat. I did some reading about Creed Santal, and will definitely be ordering a variety of Intrepid products very soon.
I've had a sample of Bergamot Lavender soap for a while now, and I've never really cared for it - the scent just wasn't what I was expecting/hoping for when I ordered it. Well, this past week I had a cup of Earl Grey tea for the first time in probably a year, and as I was drinking my tea something finally clicked! I've always loved the scent of Earl Grey tea, but for some reason I never connected the dots. Bergamot & lavender are key ingredients in our Earl Grey Tea (see attached photo)! This evening I shaved with Bergamot Lavender again, and it was like a whole different soap. I can't believe I'm saying this, but this scent may actually become a favorite. I finally "get" Bergamot Lavender, and I'm looking forward to my next shave with it.
Bergamot Lavender was an acquired taste for me. It really grew on me. In this "wear your mask, or else" era, I've been much more selective about 'what' and 'how much' I'm using. Bergamot Lavender is "mask friendly" in my book. Haven't had tea much recently but Earl Grey is great. Very interesting how you connected the dots there.
I find that the "hospital" masks they give out for free don't block out as much from the cheeks as do others. I currently am doing PT for balance/gait issues. Free mask for each session. Nice. Fine for shaving.
It's nice, Paul, but not a favorite. Probably the strongest, longest lasting of the Stirling aftershaves in my collection. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
