I wanted to share something from our trip to Rochester. Just up the street from the transplant house, I spotted a gent standing on the curb, smiling, and waving to everyone. At first, I first thought he was a protester, but I later found that he is much loved and well known in that community. He's out most every day regardless of weather. He sports some very interesting outfits. Once I figured out what he as doing, I gave him a big thumbs up every time I drove by. Just a cool guy spreading joy at a time when people need to be lifted up. https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=2790615920970198
Well, I have one Mach left in the "set"and I'll try it, but I'm just not confident with it, thus far.
Gary I’m so sorry for your loss. Your Grandmother seems to have lived a full and rich life. Take care.
Nice shave Gary! Sorry for your loss. I know how it goes, the day-to-day won't change much, but somehow it's different knowing a loved one no longer shares this world. To sweet memories, my friend!
Sept 8 SOTE Good evening guys! Straight Razor Shave #201 G. Wostenholm and Sons 5/8 Full Hollow Square Point. Omega Pro 49 Boar Brush Stirling Piacenza SS and AS I have to say that this boar brush is really a fantastic latherer. It produced a nice, creamy, thick lather for this shave. I am trying to use up tbis soap and hopefully it will be deep-sixed this month. With a 31 hour stubble, I only needed 1 and a half passes to give me an IBSS++. I decided to stop the shave right there because I didn't see the need for me to go further. This was my shortest straight shave ever and that is due to the fact that this razor is still sharp after 38 shaves from my first honing of this razor. I haven't had to refresh this razor and it feels like I can go to 50 shaves before I may take it to a pasted strop. This Sheffield blade really holds an edge. It's 100 + yrs old and still gives great shaves which is a testament to the quality and craftsmanship of this blade. Finished with the matching aftershave. Have a good evening guys!
Gary, I'm so sorry to hear of your Grandmother's passing. I pray that you will always carry the sweet memories of her in your heart.
I can't imagine how much she saw in her 98 years, Gary. Our parents, aunts, and uncles were from that generation too. I loved hearing their stories. They had such determination, endured so much, and learned to joyfully get by in all circumstances. We would do well to learn from them.
