OK, back from the trip and a shave with the Black Wabbit. First things first, the shave quality was very, very good. Minimal touch ups needed. That is the strength of the Wabbit. I did amp up the efficiency with a Personna blade and it did produce a couple of weepers so I would have liked to compare with a Schick blade but it’s time for the Wabbits to hop along. On the downside the Wabbit is too light for me and the loading mechanism was troublesome. I finally found the instructions on page 6 of this thread for the manual loading. A little challenging for clumsy fingers but much easier than the unloading which I risked cutting myself with. Once I was able to pop the retainer off it went flying across the room. Yikes Maybe some kind of tab to make removal easier would help. It would make a good spare travel razor to keep in the suitcase but otherwise I wouldn’t reach for it. It’s now been cleaned and sanitized and will be on it’s way to @Terry this afternoon. Thanks Tom for the chance to experience another of your creations. My hat is off to you again! Walbusch B5 adjustable, Bic Chrome Platinum blade, shave 3 Razor was set at 5. This razor really proves just how much angling the blade in a slant configuration mellows out a razor. You can feel by the blade exposure and gap how aggressive this razor is on a 5 which is comparable to a modern Merkur Progress yet the shave itself not that bad. Few weepers but nothing major with a right on the edge of a BBS finish. If the razor wasn't slanted it would have been a bloodbath with a glass like BBS finish and a layer or 2 of skin removed at the same time. It is a cool design and definitely beginner friendly but it is just a razor with training wheels. That style of cut can be reproduced on other razors using technique in how hold you the razor to cut the same way. If you wanted to test and prove this you could get a much cheaper variation of the humpback slant in the PAA Alpha Ecliptic assuming it is still in production and use that to practice on before going to the same angle on another razor.

Wednesday ‘62 Tech Astra SP (14) Omega Boar La Toja Stick Pinaud Clubman AS Ah fabulous BBS shave today! BBS and EXCEEDINGLY comfortable. This razor I use most of the time even though I have higher end gear. It’s simple and works well. Blade is still cutting but it’s nearing the end of its life. I will toss it in a shave or two. I’ll go back to using a Rapira that I’ve set aside. It’s got 3 shaves on it currently. Ah fabulous! Intense!
