  5. Just regular lather from the puck/brush. Yes I do increase on that, too.

  6. I hear you Charlie. I don’t do drama very well at all. I can pitch one hell of a fit if the bad Clint comes out. I only did the HOA so I could make sure the bills were paid timely and the money accounted for.

  7. Thanks Clint! It is a complex blend that is very hard to describe. I would say to anyone that is interested to go on line and get the different notes. There are plenty of them.
  8. Saturday's Shave
    #SEptember

    PAL Injectomatic
    Personna Blade
    Semogue 820 Boar
Barrister and Mann Bay Rum Shaving Soap
    Dickinson's Witch Hazel
    Grand Bay, Bay Rum Aftershave

After a few very poor lathers from the Dominica Bay Rum soap, I decided to seek out an alternative. I may go back to the Dominica later though just to see if I can make it work (the scent is top notch). There are so many Bay Rum soaps on the market, but the B&M seemed like a safe bet. Today's shave was confirmation of that. B&M adds an orange note to this soap and it blends well with the bay rum. I've used 3 other B&M soaps, but they were not in this "new" base. I may have overloaded my brush because the lather just kept taking as much water as I would give it. It turned out well eventually - very protective and slick - and the post shave is excellent. Even with face lathering, I probably had enough soap in the brush for 5 passes.
3 passes with the PAL Injectomatic provided a comfortable, irritation free and near BBS shave today. The Grand Bay aftershave is quickly becoming a favorite.

  14. It is. That's why it is difficult to describe and pinpoint with any accuracy to known soaps or aftershaves.
  15. If you can find a local group, I'm sure they can help. Call it a "make up brush." It just works better that way.

  16. Two hands with my shakiness seems to be the way to go, it just makes tremor mgmt a bit more difficult, which is exacerbated by that hard sharp Feather Super. Ben thinks I should return to the Proguard, but where’s the challenge in that! I’ll get it; unfortunately, my shiny new Riga Razor 1/4 hollow 7/8 just arrived. It almost looks like a wedge. It was forged from Tungsten Steel. I guess that means it’s a stainless blade.

  17. I understand completely. That was my main reason for getting involved too. We were taking over the condo association HOA from the developer, and there wasn't much money in the account to cover some rather large future expenses. Then here come the discussions about why can't we plant flowers in...? Or why can't we have a red front door...a satellite dish...? Or why don't you guys on the board...? I did manage to put together some spreadsheet tools that may have ended up helping. I didn't stick around long enough to find out.
