Adventures of Max Headroom Day 2

One of the reasons I pursued open edge shavers was the claim of 'no ingrowns'. It has been mostly true in my case.
For Mach3 shaving, I could only happily continue their use by considering ingrown hairs to be a 'side bonus'.
My lower neck, to the left and right of center grows south to north almost flat to the skin.
In DE shaving I abandoned ATG strokes in that area and chose comfort over closeness as my norm.
On day one of my challenge I threw caution to the wind. Today I see that I seem to be cultivating 2 unwelcome visitors in that area even though I felt zero irritation from a very satisfying shave.
Today I stayed away from ATG strokes in that area as had been my long term routine with standard DE tools. Oddly, every time I used the 100% guard free DE-Vette, I got away with no irritation ATG work.
Today's shave was good except for one small area where I was too much on the cap and compensating with pressure.
I am focusing with this tool to work at a higher blade angle than my usual, staying 'on the edge' at low pressure. So far, so good (Max Headroom uses his mulligan today).
I should use Mountain Man more.
Astra is doing well.
