    G7DC Day 2
    DE Shave # 284

    Rating: 5 / 5

    Razor: Merkur 37c Slant
    Blade: Treet Classic
    Brush: Silver Blue
    Lather: Stirling Spice
    Aftershave: B & M Reserve Spice
    Additional Care:
    Barbero Alum Block
Thayer's Witch Hazel - Aloe Vera
    Stirling Unscented Glacial Balm

I am planning on relaxing today as yesterday’s sheet rocking adventure took its toll on my damaged right shoulder. A tear in the rotator cuff is not enjoyable to say the least. Some days are better than others. Yesterday was not one of them.
Another super smooth three pass shave with the Merkur 37c. If you are not focused it will bite you. When I first started using this razor over twenty years ago, it he challenge area for me was my upper lip. I would manage to always get a weeper or two. Today, as I have learned the nuances of this razor, this is not the case.
The Stirling Spice and B&M Reserve Spice have me smelling phenomenal. SWMBO approves!
    Enjoy your Sunday.

good morning gents, day #2 of the "7 up schick show".fabulous wet stirling lather again, this time in sandpiper flavor.didn't try to drown it but followed what i did yesterday and got fine results.did the first north/south pass as usual and more of a combination pass on the second,i do this with some techs as well.very little to remove on the plus pass, resulting in an awesome near bbs.still a little on the lower neck but not visible.i have to watch that area as once a problem starts it becomes a set back.daily mild shaving here will bring it in line in at some point as it did with de razors.step at a time.i would say the "66" is a fantastic shaver, old enough to call it a classic with it's 1949 birthday, and made only one year.
sandpiper aftershave to finish an outstanding shave.some ysl l'homme later in the day perhaps..here's a willis i built about 16 years ago..still not finished.have a great sunday everyone..
  8. Great report, Paul! You may have just run over the same nick from yesterday.

Yes, we wouldn't want too many brushes out there.

I'll probably circle back to plated handles at some point. At this time I can only plate on brass and steel, which makes the handles heavy and expensive.

I am looking at what a LE run of anodized aluminum would take. I don't want to tread on Jason's territory so they wouldn't be called 30DC LE brushes. I'll come up with my own name.

If I did a run of handles with a LE engraving and let people pick 1 of 6 colors. Would people be willing to cover costs? I'm just gauging interest right now. Obviously I would work up a prototype and have a price before moving forward.
  17. :eatdrink047:one spot no razor will cure i guess ,just finesse..:)
  18. i would be interested..:)..
  19. Great shave and very cool post, Joseph!
  20. The upper lip area near the corners used to be a trouble area for weepers with me too. I have a routine that seems to work most of the time now, but I still have to be careful. Great shave and report, Joe! Hopefully, a relaxed day will help your shoulder.
