Sunday Schick Shave, Sept 13th 2020 Razor: Schick adjustable injector M3- Mfg 1970-72 Excellent Schick injector, I always get good shaves with this one. Blade: Personna injector SS PTFE (2) very sharp, good longevity, I use this blade in a lot of my Schick injectors. Folks knock this blade sometimes for the blade magazine or smoothness. Use light touch and shaves become Stellar. Soap: Razorock Santa Marie del Fiore- One of my best soaps for scent and lather qualities. Very nice protection! Brush: Yaqi Rainbow brown whiskers 26mm synthetic- Excellent brush for creating lather & cloud like soft tips. Pre shave: Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on bead area. Prep: cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups. Post shave: Nivea refreshing aftershave + witch hazel +a small dollop of Avon True Gent balm . Results: CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers = Excellent shave with my Schick adjustable injector M3. Have some great shaves!Stay & think safe in these times.
Second outing with this previously NOS John & Wm Ragg. First outing it was actually too sharp for me which is saying a lot. This time I adjusted my technique and it settled down noticeably with a flatter angle. Still got a couple of weepers (and it doesn’t hesitate to bite loose skin) but a wonderful result On a side note: This brush and cream combo is my favorite. I’ve never mentioned how much I like the Savile Row brush. I have some very high quality brushes but this one is noticeably above the rest. And I never tire of the Castle Forbes Lavender. The Sunday shave and what a shave it was. I had a Gillette Rocket HD on deck today but decided to break out the AS-D2 from its beautiful red box instead. I am really happy Mrs. S found this one for me and it was NIB when she grabbed it. Just a fantastic razor. Loaded up with a Perma-Sharp Super which is a blade I have not tried in this razor. Soap of the day was First Line Shave Red Label which is a great choice if you are looking for a cologne scent. This one is a dupe of Dior Fahrenheit and quite nice. Just a real pleasure to lather this soap and the strong scent is just so good. All good here with this one. Proceeded through a nice leisurely shave enjoying the whole process today. Four passes in total with WTG, XTGx2 and ATG leading to a super close and smooth shave. Indeed the dolphins ARE screaming. Enjoy your Sunday and stay safe. Wow i thought older than that but i was born in 82 so im cool with that. I love your brush also. The color is why i bought mine.
A&E has jumped to the top for me over the last year. I have about 8 to 10 of them and every scent is wonderful.
