very cool i was big into trains and layouts back in england.moved too much to set up a large layout.would love to do the same.as for car model kits, one has to paint and assembly, but i did collect since i was a teenager so i literally had hundreds,i used to super detail them with cloth interiors, engine wiring etc and use parts from different kits like bigger/different wheels/engines to build accurate 60s drag race car replicas and such.still do that today, only not as much as i would like to..now a kit takes a while as i use auto paint and scratch build some parts from styrene stock..most hobby shops still stock them and there has been a big resurgence in the last 10 years or so,photo etched metal parts etc.mostly adult builders that started out as kids.cool hobby .

Impressive. I used to enjoy model car building but I never did anything so intricate. Just built them from stock kits. A little paint and decals is as detailed as I ever got.

very cool.simple is good and most kits build up into cool models from the start.no question.i just do my own thing.as a builder of real hot rods and a mechanic i was inclined to go further with them.:).

Yours look to be of exceptional build quality. I'd love to see a few more detailed pictures. I have a few cars from my Grandfathers collection. Most were prebuilt that I have of his including a few Franklin Mint models. I think I have a few he built though. Unfortunately they are stored away at the moment for lack of a good place in my current house to display them. I look forward to getting an area to display them properly and maybe add a few to that collection.

very cool.i have been building kits since my early teens and am now 52,collecting as well.most of mine i built then rebuilt then scrapped for different ideas.i have sold hundreds off in the last 5 years and kept favorites to build.mostly 30s to 60s fords.i presently have builder's block and haven't done much lately..will resume shortly i hope. You are? i am Gary.would love to call you by your prefered name.:)

I am finding it hard to put this Razor down as it so good, and I should really revert to my Razor rotation. Second Shave with The Feather blade was good, but think the Schick Proline is a bit more forgiving.

Today is Day 15 of SEptember. Up for the challenge today is my Gem Micromatic Flying Wing.

The Tabac Shave Soap face-lathered well with Jayaruh #18 Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Gem Micromatic Flying Wing razor with a Personna GEM SS PTFE blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Tabac ASB. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

My name is Greg. Nice to officially make your cyber-acquaintance.

Have you ever done a Salt Flat racer inspired model?
