SEptember 15th RR OC Hawk V3 w Feather Pro (2) Simpson Sovereign/Resin Stirling Gin&Tonic SS Thayers Dior Eau Sauvage AS 2nd day of Gary's minifocus with this razor, brush and soap. Another close shave with the V3. Perhaps a minor patch of sandpaper on the lower right neck, but I had to hunt critically to find it. The Eau Sauvage was the only change for today, and it is fantastic. The T2 knot has become more functional for me- it has stopped shedding and seems to do well with a softer artisan soap (and loaded to the hilt) like this one. Besides travelling, I believe yesterday and today mark the first time since my first rule 4 years ago that I have used the same hardware and soap on consecutive days. First world thoughts, I suppose. Have a great day all!
Lovely shave, Joseph! If your Dubl Duck shaves like mine then I know you had a great shave. I don't find my DD to be large when compared to my new Riga Razor. Hope your day goes well!
I'm glad you brought that up Bruce.....reminded me of how I "celebrated" George Harrison's life upon his death. I thought of 3 great(IMO)George songs-each one at a different period of his career. 1.I'm Happy Just To Dance With You 2. Somethin' 3.Blow Away
It did a lovely job on my Gold Dollar practice razor. Check out your inbox. I asked a question, and would be quite interested in your thoughts. I put it there as it's straight/honing related and not really of interest to the majority of the crew here.
Always nice to do that. I called my relatives from Washington(state)last night to check in on them-they said so far not much smoky air where they are, but still they try to stay indoors as much as they can.
Cliff already gave it a thumbs down. Swati might used it on him, and I wouldn't want that on my conscience.
Thanks Gary! Thanks Bruce! Not mine, just a pass around. I was lucky to get in on it. IF some come to market, I'll get a couple. tp
Great shave, Terry! Interesting razor! I'm still waiting for some new Razor McGyver adventure. I know they'll be one. Hope you have a great day my friend! Great to see you posting again, even if it is infrequent.
tuesday shave G7DC #4 1949 Schick G "66" chick rr 400 synthetic stirling executive man fine platinum good morning gents..little change on #4. nice smooth 2+ pass almost bbs with some buffing here and there, lower neck hanging in with no irritation.no problem with the blade, will attempt another shave with it.they seem to stand up well, must be the heavier blade material? not sure.quite silent today as the public buildings are closed due to the smoke.little traffic.the schick is sure an audible razor,i like that..helps find the whiskers..awesome stirling lather, just copied the procedure from yesterday..had to use fine platinum to finish as i don't have executive man splash.i don't like to double up on a/s scents unless i am restocking.may try the stirling version when the 2 bottles of platinum are gone..awesome ..have a fine tuesday everyone..today's hotrod is a 1929 ford on 1932 rails,409 chev engine..
Great Hawk shave, Jason! This is the first time since I quit shaving with the Old Krona DE that I've shaved with the same software and hardware more than three days in a row! It's starting to chafe! I need a change! Only two more days for me!
Understood, Jim! What was it about open edge that didn't appeal to you, just out of curiosity? Enjoy your day!
thank you Jeff.built the model around 2006..really liking the schick shaves.i may polish the razor handle..
I stuck with it long enough that I could get a pretty good 2 pass with touch up, no blood, no irritation. I didn't enjoy it as much as shaving with my other razors. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
