    Great shave, Bill! Slow and steady is what works for me. When I’m straight shaving my mug it is not uncommon for me to relather only a small recalcitrant area, generally on the “Mitch McConnell” turkey neck trouble spots.

    Yardley Shaving Soap~~Rooney 185~~H. Boker & Co.~~Yardley After Shaving Lotion
    Seemed like a vintage day, so I went with a very British, vintage shaving soap.
    Eschewed the lather, glamour-shot, in lieu of face-lathering.
    The British Rooney doesn't "dig" into the soap like some of my other brushes;
    combine that with the fact that the Yardley is a triple-milled, hard-as heck puck;
    one would think that there wouldn't be sufficient soap...

    With     significantly less real estate to shave these days, I have reduced my passes
    to two. WTG + ATG. Plus a modicum of edge cleanup to the Van Dyke and Burns.
    This Boker/Böker probably     sports the sharpest edge in my SR arsenal.
    Plinking and Plunking abounded.
    Finished with the Yardley After Shaving Lotion.
    Refined, reserved and rewarding experience.     ​
