Glad your shave went well, Gary! Mine was spectacular! There may be something to this whole focus thing!
very true..i use short strokes with the gillettes so a few places get overlapped a bit.had no issues from it so far..good prep and slick soap..
It's remarkable how our beloved SWMBOs are capable of continuing to find ways of separating a man from his filthy lucre!
thank you Bruce.most of my kits i build have many parts from several kits..about a third of the kits i bought are for parts only.never built one straight from the box..
..absolutely..looking back i am starting to see a pattern..especially when a new razor or kit,or car part arrives..i can feel her list getting longer..
thank you Jeff.i have done an oc and a tech focus, but both were using different software daily..plus a few examples of said razors..it's hard to stick to one set up for me..thankfully all the razors were of one brand..so they counted..
Thanks for the suggestion, Bill! A friend on another board, a long time straight shaver swears by Proraso Preshave. I’m not too keen on the whole hot towel to the mug thing. I’d rather hydrate more simply if I can!
My brother shaves in the shower. Has a fog free mirror hung up. Sometimes he uses bath soap, other times just runn water. I got him a Supply razor & fixins to try to get a convert. He gave it one try & gave up. I think I'm gonna get it back. Yippee!
I thought I made it clear. The tang is the non blade part that is on either side of the pivot. The part closest to the blade is also called the shaft. The part on the other side of the pivot is the tail. The tail can be called the tang as well.
I like Proraso pre-shave. Not sure if it the longer time the lather is on the face or the hit towel, or both. When I started wetshaving, I gravitated to cold water. Recommendations and experience said it was less irritating. I started using hot water with straights and have stayed there.
