  1. Thank you Joe!
  2. thank you Joe..:)
  3. thank you Joe,good evening..:)
  4. Thanks, Joe! It was a good shave, but since the prior day’s shave was so close, there wasn’t that much to shave on the mug!
  5. awesome shave and pic Blair..:)
  6. Thanks, I tend to take the road less traveled. (Robert Frost)
  7. thank you Blair..refreshing shave today..:)
  8. Congrats Gary! Nice score.
  9. That's the second time the Gordon Lightfoot clone has attacked Clubman. Well, I might still get married-I don't use Tabac. One outta two ain't bad. :)
  10. I can see where some would consider Gentleman to be a polarizing scent. Texas on Fire, which I tried as a bath soap, was the only soap I’ve ever thrown away because I hated the scent. Stirling’s bath soaps are a good way to gauge whether you like the scent at all, and if it’s a scent you’d want to shave with.
  11. I could try a PIPE tobacco aftershave(or soap).......would remind me of my Dad. The Doc Squatch hand/bath soap I have is Sweet Cigar. We'll see about that one.
  12. You'll know it's me when I come through your town
I'm gonna ride around in style
    I'm gonna drive everybody wild
'Cause I'll have the only one there is around.

  13. Thank you, Jason! Connaught does have decent prices. One of the best for prices on MWF and Tabac. What do you think of the Haymarket Vetiver? She has a number of scents that sound good.
  14. Why thank you, Jason. Where do I pick up my trophy?
I had to look up smarminess. We hicks struggle with them big words n stuff. :D
  15. Im going to have to suggest to Peter to make an A&E soap called “Fru-Fru”. ;)

Actually, it’ll be the same as today. Tabac would be a fine choice though.
  16. If I remember, you had determined there weren't any honing marks on the spine's honing surface? It's only been used a handful of times and stropped?

If that's the case, you'd need to tape the spine.

Short version, you match how the razor was 'prepped' (tape or not, or even as many layers) when the bevel was set for all future honing. Doesn't matter if it's honing films, ceramic, natural....you match how the razor was setup when the bevel was set.

If it were me.....I'd run it through a linen and leather strop session first....to see where it is. Particularly if it's only been used a few times and stropped. Sergej's edges from his shop are particularly nice imho.

    Hope that helps!
  17. I do like a good number of the HC designs....Clint's Dubl Duck color combo with the boar is awesome.
  18. Thanks, Joe! From what I can tell, it’s pretty good stuff. Most of the artisan soap available to us is. Shannon’s never seemed to get the buzz and hype like many others.
