It's not really "my way", as I didn't invent it. I keep it simple. Get the brush wet, shake out most of the water, load the brush, then face lather - adding a little water at a time until I get the lather where I want it.
Congratulations, David, I’ve heard very good things about the BBS razor! Glad the shave went so well! You now have your winning combo!
Stunning photo again, Jim! The lighting is just right to highlight the gear. That brush looks divine too. Wow.
Congratulations, Jim! Glad the OneBlade works so well for you. I’ve never Been able to get a decent shave from any pivoting head razor. No biggie, I’ve more than enough to keep me busy!
Fab shave and photos, Joseph! You must've turned a garden hose on the soap to get it overhydrated. His soaps can take a ridiculous amount of water.
Friday’s Shave #SEptember #G7DC (day 7) Today concludes my G7DC. By completing this focus using the same software and hardware for 7 days, I was able to become more in tune with each component, therefore making for a better shave. Surprisingly, instead of being bored using the same kit, I looked forward each day to having a comfortable, irritation free shave. However, I still look forward to switching things up tomorrow... Using longer, more carefully watched shave strokes and listening to audible feedback enabled me to reduce unnecessary over-shaving. Thank you, Headmaster Gary @brit for proposing this 7 day challenge.
Wonderful results again, Jeff! It'll be interesting to see if you can replicate them when you switch back to traditional straights. Betcha can.
Paul, there’s a group of us (all retired) up here in the Philly burbs, who meet for breakfast a couple time per week. We call it the ‘Men of Leisure Club’ (MOLC)
