  3. Stretching sure has helped me get closer shaves, Paul. It only makes sense (to me, anyway) that a blade edge has the best chance of removing all the hair if the skin surface is flat and the hair is standing up. Since a shavette lacks a safety bar, the operator is also trying to minimize the potential for blood by stretching the skin.

For the most part, I have the light touch down pat. Now I'm starting to ask myself, "self, what kind of stretch do I need to make every part of my face flat?"
  4. Thanks Joseph! I hope you and Dr. Mrs. Primo have a great weekend.

I wanted to go 7 days in a row but missed yesterday.

Blade on 4, could go more, but there is no shame in fresh steel. The focus helps you overcome a wearing blade.

Stirling Dunshire is a mask friendly scent as long as you don't overdose. I like the dry down and residual more than the opening.

Used the Stirling collapsible dog feed bowl most of the time. @jluc has a couple that he hasn't used for travel yet. Jim, you should. Puffs an easy suds, but use care, you can over aerate easy too.

Like most, I benefited from a 7 day focus. @brit Gary, it was a great suggestion, I tip my hat. The fore-fathers of the 30DC look down from their legendary thrones with smiles of approval on your rally call.

Speaking of rallys, the model parade was great.

And, it must be a heavy load lifted to finally get to change the box.

And, ugly? Schick injectors? Utilitarian maybe. But ugly? If you wanna see ugly zoom in on the grunge I couldn't get from between the teeth on the New. Played 'ell getting it that good. Sorry, it lacks the artistic elegance of your setups, but it does shave. And better than ever, for me. If you were a bobbles, trinkets, slick, shiny, and modern type of guy, Supply would fit the Injector category for ya.

Great to see the results everyone got. Way to go, gang.

  6. It's an amazing and talented group of actors, Paul. I wouldn't recognize many of today's "movie stars" if I bumped into them at the Piggly Wiggly.

  7. Thanks Bruce. One more shave with the Sierra Romeo X-ray, and I'm gonna swap it out for a Feather Artist Club razor. I'm really glad you are back with us, my friend.
  8. awesome Bill and thank you..the "ugly injector" quote was in jest ,like most things i say.:).glad you found new ground with the new..and it will be easier to clean than the injector..;)..
  9. Thanks Gary! I appreciate this setup much more because of this mini-focus.

Haha! Finally a drama free shave. No irritation or lubricant leaks. Just BBS is 2 passes plus cleanup.

What a way to end a challenge. Tomorrow I think I will use one of my straight razors.

  11. Nice shave, Bruce. Bummer about the weeper on the first pass, but it sounds like you scared it off.

A very cool perspective photo, too. There ain't nothin' wrong with them @jtspartan brushes. I feel bad for the guys that don't have them. Your photo, no doubt, has done flung a cravin' on 'em.

  12. Wonderful shavette shave Charlie! Grace and Peace to you, also!
  13. Thanks Gary. You too, my friend. Has the pier fire been extinguished?
  14. Thank you, Jeff. Right back atcha, my friend!
  15. Thanks Myles. All good here, my friend. Weather has been great, and it has been fun getting outside. I picked up a guitar chair this week and hope to re-start my practice. How is school going?
  16. That's nothing, Myles. Some of the dudes here build good lathers on dried out and wrinkly faces that look worse than that soap puck.
  17. Very good shave, pic and setup Bruce!
  18. Did that one come with a case and tuck of blade? Them Brits will shave with anything.
  19. Wonderful final G7DC shave Charlie. Hope you and Kathy have a nice weekend.
