  8. @TestDepth thank you.

I actually bought some nos schulzes from revisor. But strangely enough I can't make the decision to use them.

This schulze I got from the bay for very little money. I didn't sand it down completely. I wanted to keep the engraving of the man and his hat. So I polished and honed it. Schulze was a very good razor maker.

Yes the 14 is magical. I have been lucky to find a few. The henckels zwilling is ready. I also have a kobar that I have to hone. TI spartacus and aevos (Hoppe) are on the cleaning and honing list.

Revisor has a beautifull Schulze 14 in stock. I have been tempted, but I will not buy it. Otherwise it will be lying unused in my home.
  9. User grade Hoshi Tombo 8000, long tail symmetric kamisori. Soap was ABC hard soap lathered with a Life2short1971 custom 2-band, and ABC balm finished up a 10/10 shave.

Edit: I’m thinking the strike on the far right is off like the S in Paris, maybe leaning towards an E.
    SPINASSE is my guess
  12. Rigarazor 8/8, last shave before it goes back to it’s owner. It’s sporting a fresh jnat edge and it shaves as smoothly as a butterknife. These are excellent razors. Soap and AS was Stirling Green, lathered with a Life2short1971 two-band badger.

  18. I enjoyed the shave, but was not wild about the edge, Tom. Spent a couple of hours working with a series of slurries of increasing dilution on the jasper stone finishing on the UF side with water and then two pasted strops this afternoon after the shave. It sounds a bit OCD, but this is what my son showed me on my PUMA which worked out beautifully. I didn’t spend near as much time on the Puma because the steel didn’t seem as hard as on the Riga. Hairs are a poppin’ and tree toppin’. I guess I’ll see tomorrow if I ruined a perfectly good edge. We newbies - all enthusiasm tempered by sheer ignorance. :(
