That interface looks familiar, Evan. Just a couple of evenings ago, I went over to the machine shop at work. I was shooting the bull with a couple guys who were trying to program a Haas lathe. Way, way, way over my head.
Thank you, Clint! You made it through another week. Get some R&R, have a few adult beverages, and order some shaving gear online. Treat yourself well...you deserve it.
I will be working some from my home office and dog sitting Maya’s dog Cody. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
That wouldn't work with me...I'm too much of an anticipator. Course the "forgetful" part may come into play as I get older.
SEptember Focus Mike's Bay Rum~~Simpson KH4~~Ralf Aust~~Ogallala Bay Rum, Limes & Peppercorns Nippy this morning, so I reached for a nice fall scent, Bay Rum. Mike's is a stereotypical scent---and I mean that positively, strong bay, clove and bergamot. The soap base, while not a triple-milled soap, is still moderately firm and needs little blooming. I usually put some water on the puck and immediately pour it off, just moistening the surface. The KH4 is one of my grey box Simpsons with not too much backbone. I will not call it floppy, but if you are looking to work your way through a soap, this isn't the best tool. It is a wonderfully soft and luxurious knot, which is a delight to use. The "Keyhole" handle fits perfectly in the hand. (Creates a heckuva lather, too) Now that I am sporting an ever-growing Van Dyke and side burns almost to my jawline, navigating and maneuvering around my face with a straight razor has become a bit awkward. The Ralf Aust got the usual pre-shave preparation and has a very nice edge. Cheeks and jawline are both BBS and the neck is its usual DFS. No issues with breached epidermis...always a plus. The Ogallala is a terrific finisher. Clove-forward, but tempered with lime. It's one of Dr. Mrs. Primo's favorites.
Thanks, Charlie! I have really enjoyed the Grand Bay AS so far. I only have one other Bay Rum AS though (Clubman VIBR), so my experience is limited. This Grand Bay seems to have just bay leaf as the only scent note, which I like.
Well, the best of streaks must end sometime. After back-to-back Top Of The World commentaries for a canned cream, I'm forced to say "2 outta 3 ain't bad". My error this morning was in not putting enough cream on. I thus got a Knick(large one, but I won't call it a cut)on NW Porcupine Alley. Also skipped over to areas on the right sideburn section. Other than those, all went pretty well. Good stuff inside that 12 oz. Clubman can. Finished off with Clubman A.S. which will stay out for my next two or 3 shaves(you'll see what I mean at the SOTD page). Most Excellent.
