Haven’t been able to keep up since Friday morning. Busy, two big events going on this weekend. Lots to prepare with both myself and my assistant working in two locations. My day is probably about to be a rain out in south Texas with the storm approaching in a few hours. Ugh.

Did manage to get my Garmin Fenix 5 updated and running again before leaving. It’s what I was using for a couple years before the Apple Watch 4.

It does a good bit of what the 4 can do, just not quite as eloquently. Some areas (like on watch GPS) it’ll do more, not needing a connection to a phone. But, battery life is awesome, almost a week most times. Uses E-Ink technology, same as the Amazon Kindles. It has a look and feel more akin to traditional watch styling. Watch faces galore, some mimicking Rolex, Breitling and more. I use a very active face called Gearmin (funny play on Garmin).

This is it’s look when in any decent lighting.

  6. Excellent looking shave Jim. Seeing the various issues posted at time regarding the gelled boar definitely has me staying away from obtaining one.

  7. Thanks Joe. Hurt is not the operative word, aggravate would apply. It always hurts, just depend on the degree given the movement of it at any given moment.

  12. Excellent shave and post regarding some aspects of your honing process. Why wouldn’t you tape the spine of the Riga?

  13. Thank you Gary. The good news is the Sheetrock is up, now the taping and sparkling fun begins. Shoulder did not like yesterday’s activity but life goes on.

Kinda weird that I haven't had any issues with this gelled boar until yesterday. I haven't given up yet but as of now I wouldn't recommend one.

  17. It's a beauty, Evan. Nice work. The bead blast give the handle a unique look, and it would certainly help with grip.
