  4. Thanks Bill!
I won't use it all the time, so I'd only convert half my feather stock into gold, for now anyway.
    ;)

    Good luck Blair!

Change of hardware and software today. I went with the Brass General loaded with a Feather Pro blade. Swati picked up the shave cream and brush as a gift from the TOBS shop in London during a business trip. The trip to the TOBS store was out of her way which makes the gifts even more special. I plan on making the brush and cream a regular Sunday shave pairing until the cream is gone. Three passes and touch ups caught the baby with ease. I really like using the Brass General. A splash of Floïd Blue and I am ready for an afternoon out with Maya. I hope everyone has a great Sunday.

This morning weather definitely brings the realization that colder days are coming. We have a brisk, cool morning that will accompany me in the process of doing chores around the house. Some SWMBO and Mother Nature directed, and the others of my own choosing.

Mother Nature finally decided to drop the limb hanging from a tree, courtesy of the tropical storm in August, on a vacant piece of property onto my backyard.

SWMBO asked that I remove the air conditioner from our bedroom window. My contribution to my work day is to trim some of the hydrangeas around our yard.

Fortunately, I had a wonderful three pass shave. The PAA Injector easily cleaned you the whiskers, The Jayaruh brush whipped up a nice lather.

  14. The maker taped the spine to prevent hone wear, but as my son Ben explained the result is a blunter point, although not enough that most would mind or even notice. The edge was perfectly shaveable, but I found it harsher than the edges Ben has taught me to create, which he learned from his mentor up Boston way. So by not taping the edge the spine is subject to hone wear, but the angle of the edge becomes more acute and the work on the two fine stones and three pasted strops smooths out the edge and rounds the sharp blunter edge from the taped bevel set. The result to me is a much ch smoother, buttery edge! I’ve converted all of my straights to this edge, in one case, the $5 Gold Dollar edge was built from bevel set through finish. Clearly no one could make a living with this extended OCD focus, but it’s worth it to me. I shave with them!
  15. fine shave and pic Joe,enjoy your day..:)
  16. It's really good, and doesn't even cost too much!

I've been using Hega a lot, it's even cheaper over here and works well for me.
