  1. Great shave, Joe! Your Type L is probably more efficient than my Paul Revere version. Glad I shaved with it. Will probably sell it. I own too many safety razors that shave well to harbor a pretty one that doesn’t!
  2. One of the benefits of my point in life is that both my MILs are in the Elysian Fields.

  3. Bottom line is the shave, and it sounds like it delivered nicely, Daniel! Enjoy your day!
  4. Thank you, fellas!

  9. Great shave, Terry! You’re approaching Razor McGyver territory, but not quite there yet! I’m actually surprised that even 1/2 a Feather lasted through those famous Kevlar whiskers of yours! Enjoy your day! I always enjoy your posts!
  10. Great shave, Gary! I hope they get that pier fire under control. Burning creosote soaked wood is a recipe for lung issues.
  11. Thanks for the compliment, Clint, but I’m nowhere near the expertise of most of the guys over on the straight razor thread. My son wrote out an algorithm, that this old retired engineer follows. There’s no originality on my part. I’m just following directions. And I do like the results.
  12. Thanks, Charlie! It was one of my first wife’s favorite scents. Fortunately, it’s not long-lasting, so I can get away with wearing it. It’s Ok, my favorite cologne is Ultimo.
  13. Thanks, Jeff!
The bowl is from Symmetrical Pottery. Love it! Fits comfortably in the palm of my hand and opens wide enough for zero brush clanking. Check them out on Etsy.

  14. Thanks clint!
Had to show up with it, just in case someone else might want one.;)

    Thanks Charlie!
    Glad everyone is doing good.
Not lots of time but I owe it to the 30DC people. If I can get a new razor and use a Feather blade first try, on blood thinners yet and not butcher myself....
    Any one can do it!

    Thanks Jeff!
I'm looking at a few, uh things, for a fantastic closer than close shave.

I'll show it off too, if it ever happens.

  16. I’m using the Bysameyee USB with my MacBook Pro. Got it on Amazon. It was ranked #1. Your interpretation of my verbiage is correct, Bill. What’s funny for me, is that I would’ve vehemently disagreed with my own statement three weeks ago.
  17. Thanks Jeff.....you too.
Thanks Joe...Ahh, I'd just use the Pine Tar for my hands, as is the plan with ManHands.

    It's official.
This is my favorite straight razor.
    Plain Jane...check.
    Easy to strop...check.
    Ultra-keen edge...check.
I have prettier razors, but none shave better than this American-made exemplar.
  20. Thanks, Joe! That’s just what I’m doing.
