  1. Actually, she merely confirmed what I already know. There is no figuring a woman out. :D
  2. Shavette-fu for the win. :happy036:

  4. Excellent B&W photo, Charlie - and a shave to match. Congrats! It'll be interesting to see how you get along with the Feather AC SS, although you're going to nail it.
What's wrong with Williams lather? :)

  6. Bruce, it's hard to beat a Keurig. We used one for several years. It was especially handy on work days as we could fill a travel mug as we headed for the Batmobile. You'd be drinking Jo before you could say "Atomic batteries to power... turbines to speed... roger, ready to move out."

When we retired, we replaced the Keurig with the Bonavita. Our coffee consumption at home increased significantly, and I figure we've saved a few bucks by making the change. The Bonavita gets high marks from coffee snobs too.
  7. I enjoy reading famous quotes, Bruce, and Mark Twain has some of the best. His humor was insightful and timeless.

@Paul Turner I'm sure you know this gent by his real name...Samuel Langhorne Clemens.

  9. Thank you, Joe. Made in “Detroit” is not that common these days.

  10. Evan, it's a gorgeous brush! You never cease to amaze with your talent.

Those middle of the night work calls are no fun. I hope you don't get many of them. After those phone calls, I would lay awake thinking about the problem and debating whether to go in to work.

I also carried an on-call pager occasionally. Most of those calls resulted in a rather high-spirited, Gumball Rally type of drive to work.
  11. Thank you, Joe. There’s a certain something about this razor. Not sure what it is, maybe the barbers notch, maybe the scales, most definitely the balance and, especially the keen edge.

  14. Swati has been very good about bringing me shaving supplies from her business trips. She really likes this hobby much better than the motorcycles and firearms.

  16. Thanks Bruce. I'll work at the Feather until I get it. I'm sure it will bite me a few times in the process. I have really enjoyed using the SRX. It has felt natural in my hand from day one.

What's wrong with Williams lather? Well, I just like to tease Fuzzy. I'm sure it works OK once you figure it out. Years ago, I purchased a puck of Williams and an incredibly scritchy badger brush at Walmart. It felt more like a wire brush. I had no idea what I was doing, and I might have used that setup six times before I pitched the soap. I remember it was in a coffee mug, and I could clank up a storm trying to make what I thought was lather. I was an electric razor guy in those days, and I thought I'd try to use a disposable razor. A few years ago, I ran across the brush and gave it to JR so that it could be re-knotted.
