You guys tired of seeing this razor yet? Hope not...I'm not tired of using it. Another soap and AS sample (CF Ghost Town Barber) bites the dust. Nice stuff, and I'd consider adding it to the den. There's a chance someday down the road, but it seems unlikely. There are others "in cue" ahead of this one...and I already have plenty of soaps that need to be worked through. The combo today produced the same excellent results as yesterday. Zero drama, easy two passer w/ a little touch-up. Have a great Monday, gents!
SEptember 21st Schick E3 w Personna '17 30DC LE Shannon's Soaps Haymarket Thayers Stirling Autumn Glory AS Switched up the gear today, as my week long rule 'c'est finis'. @FaceScraper Bruce had asked for a review of the Haymarket Vetiver so I pulled it out early this morning. I rarely bowl lather anymore- usually only when dealing with samples such as this one. I do get great lathers when I do, though. This morning was no exception- pressed a good sized chunk of the soap in the bottom and let the Tuxedo fly. I was rewarded with a pretty standard, top tier artisan soft soap lather. On the face, there was more than sufficient glide and the awesome E3 took care of 36 hours growth in 3 smooth passes with zero complaint. As for scent, I find this very well named- Grassy/Vetiver. I thought the Autumn Glory would match well, and I was right. An Epic morning on the @Keithmax scale. Have a great day all!
you are most welcome Joe..for all the silly stuff i post here i thought i should try something more shave related....but seriously i am glad some folks gained a little from it..it gave us a common theme we could all talk about....
Fine shave Bruce! I don't get tired of anyone using the same razor. From the beginning of Nov to the middle of Dec in 2019, I shave with the same straight razor, brush, soap and aftershave. It was my personal 30 shave challenge. So if the 30DC crew put up with my boring 45 days, then I can do so for anyone here as well.
