Excellent shave, Jason! My E Type delivers the same quality shave! Best Injector Schick ever designed!
I am excited! I will be the proud owner of the Danger brush handle expertly crafted by @MrEE! I have a question for the brush experts and enablers. The handle is drilled for a 30mm knot, and I'd like to differentiate it from my other brushes. I currently have two synthetic knots (APShaveCo Tuxedo and SynBad), three two-banders (Envy White Supreme, Shavemac, and SHD), 2 Kent silvertips, a Simpson Super, and an Omega boar. Anyone have a suggestion? Thanks in advance, and a big thanks to Evan for thinking of me.
I have puck of Russian soap that was given to me by JR when I purchased JR # 394. It may have been used a couple of times, but it is practically new. It is a tallow soap. I did a little research, and it appears to be a good one. It's just not my thing, as I'm pretty set on what I use. If someone here on the 30DC is interested in it, please let me know. I'll be glad to send it your way.
Gillette: Super Speed Black tip (X3) 1952. Blade: Astra Superior Platinum (5) Brush: Oscar 11 Multi Colored handle w/ TGN Premium Silvertip Soap: Reef Point Admiralty Aftershave: Floid Blue Bowl: Junichi Tanaka Astisaral Pedestal Another Oscar 11 brush. This is another work of art in my opinion. TGN Premium Silvertip is meant for this handle. Whipped up an amazing lather for a very comfortable close shave. Reef Point Soap Admiralty is performing excellent as expected. The Astra Superior Platinum is working very well. Does anyone have an Oscar 11 Multi Colored handle brush? I don't think I've seen another.
Offtopic, but whenever i go to a shop that sells Russian groceries, i'll usually buy a few bars of soap (and tarhun, kvass and other things). The one on top is really good, i think it's meant for laundry, but works very well for washing hands, doesn't dry out the skin. Haven't tried the other one yet.
Beautiful brush, Doug! Your Oscar11 brush is certainly unique. On the brushmakers thread, he pointed out that he doesn't pour his own resins, so if he only got that one blank like that, it is probably the only one. Some of his hollow wooden vessels (fancy, small mouthed bowls) are truly masterpieces.
Very generous! Too bad Neal isn't around, Charlie. He'd jump at the chance to shave with more Russian stuff.
