i thoroughly understand Charlie...i lost a good income that was tailored to my physical needs due to this pandemic.one that will be hard to replace.i can reinvent myself again.. hopefully but i always seem to have to fit others criteria..it's getting old..

When this whole thing is over, I look forward to sharing a coffee with you in Finland. From how you've described your country, I think it would be a cool place to visit...in the summer.

Food tells a lot about people, so i'll just leave this here if you are curious about Finland. It's not the shortest video though.

And yes, we do have ice cream here. In interesting flavors too, like pine, tar and salmiakki (salty liquorice).

 

my stepdad and his family are all Finnish.many of my friends as well..interesting bunch....

 

Nice! We finns are kind of the weirdos of europe. We even have a word for getting drunk at home in your underwear without the intention of going anywhere; kalsarikännit.

i have a step uncle that likes to scare the neighbors. he walks naked from his daily sauna across the yard to the house..he isn't pretty..

 

Ah yes the nudity can be a bit too much for some.
Everyone here just goes to the sauna completely naked. Doesn't matter how you look. In some saunas genders are mixed and so on. Nothing sexual about it, even if you'd happen to be right next to a beautiful lady. Or a guy.

I've heard horror stories about saunas abroad that aren't even hot and throwing water on the rocks isn't allowed.

 

I don't want to see naked guys in my gym, let alone a suana.

 

Understandable, you have your own culture, we have ours. It's just normal around here, nothing weird about it. It's not like everyone is looking at each other.

 

ah yes..the insecurities....the proudest country in the world..
