I decided to take a shavette detour and enjoy a few SEptember shaves with my Mongoose. I was inspired by
@Terry even before I knew him, so I purchased a spare Mongoose in 2013. So, yes I have a flock of Mongeese in my den.
Two passes...OK, three if you count touch ups because I was having so much fun...and I'm scary close (copyright
@clint64). With the Big Bomber handle, this heavy razor demands a light touch. Thankfully, Danger was at the controls. I treated it like it was a shavette, hyper skin stretching, alum on the fingertips of the off-hand, yada, yada, yada, and somehow a wonderful shave broke out.
The Feather Super Pro is my favorite SE blade. The additional exposure coupled with the blade stiffness makes it a joy to use in the Mongoose head. Cloud Nine all the way. I decided to give my B-400 by Tom brush a spin after seeing all the cool
@MrEE aluminum brush handles this month. I find it to be quite acceptable even though it is not red. I guess it's because I used too much caulk to set the knot.

The Envy White two-bander has a little more backbone and scritch than my silvertips. Compared to Kent brushes, it's like going from a well-behaved second-grader to a spirited middle schooler. It has a nice face feel, and it works a little better with soaps.
Well, that's my story, and I'm stickin' to it.
Grace and Peace.
