Good morning, gents! You all had some really nice shaves, i tried to drop a like to each one, hopefully i didn't miss any. I had a tube of Start, which i hadn't tried yet, so i gave it a go. It works well, but the scent is not my favourite. Still usable, though. Of course i had to pair it with the Rapira razor and Ladas blade. I'm a fan of the razor, i don't care if the fit&finish looks like it was made after four bottles of vodka, still shaves very well. The blade was a good one too. Have a nice day!

I did a little digging, out of curiosity. They're no longer being made...stopped in 2019, or maybe before. Maggard's has some handles left. They did have the MinGoose, which took injector blades. Those are sold out. It appears one of the partners is a business exec. and it was more of a hobby than a "true" business. Not like I'm running low on razors, but was more intrigued than anything. The Mongoose is a razor that use to be a forum darling. Every now and then you'll see a SOTD with one, but there's little chatter about them.

September 22, 2020 Brass General Feather Pro 30DC LE with Zenith Boar RMBC Sandalwood Shave Cream Fine Santal Absolut Aftershave Happy Hump Day. The work week just marches on. You are right the Mongoose is no longer being made. I had one of the early Batch 2 satin Mongoose razors with both handles. When I got the brass General I sold the Mongoose. I also had a batch 1 Alumigoose head that I sold to Jared. The batch 1 Alumigoose was a beast of a razor. Both owners had other careers and were just never able to source the correct machine shop to match demand with the quality required.
