  1. The key is drinking your coffee from the correct cup. I took over a soup mug with a blond-headed kid on it in Minnesota. He looks like a trouble-maker. I like it. It became a joke with the folks at the transplant house. I liked it so much that I asked if I could bring it home. Third photo is a "meal" photo I sent to a friend who is a gourmet cook. She said, "oh my," but I can't figure out why.

  3. Yup. Rockies on the Right, Purcells on the Left lets me know I'm facing North...
My wife really liked the Coffee and Chicory at Café du Monde in New Orleans. We stayed about two blocks away on the other side of Jackson square.
As far as restaurants go outside of the French quarter, our driver took us to a place called Jacques Imo's. One of the most original, excellent meals I've had in my life. It was a long time ago- right before the flood.
  4. Well, you had the wrong kind of bread. ;)

  5. Remember percolated coffee? Nobody does that anymore. Was pretty good as I recall. "back in my day..."
  6. Even that awful meal looks great with a Hammy field watch stealing the scene. FYI- I got a notification that Seiko cocktail time autos (a la @Keithmax and his subtle art of enabling) are on sale at a dept store here in Canada. $371 Cdn (280 usd). I'm trying to resist as I absolutely do not need another watch, but I don't think I can pass this one up.
  7. Ha I just said I missed perolated coffee, before I saw this.
  8. I do, out at our lake spot. Presto perc. Great machine.

    Good morning guys!

Well let's get back to shaving posts. Lol!
I decided to shave with just 24 hrs growth.
The Semogue brush is very soft, but it isn't one of my favorite brushes because it doesn't release the lather. I hate squeezing a brush to get oodles of trapped soap. Anyway, the shave was excellent. BBS- shave without issues was the result. The Piacenza SS gave up the ghost, but I still have the Piacenza AS to deep-six. I will use it with my Ukrainian soap until it is empty. Double splashed my face and felt some burn. Well, I have deep-sixed 3 shave soaps this year and I still have a lot of soap to finish. Lol! Have an awesome day guys! 20200923_104058.jpg

  11. Nice shave Jason! Is it the scent or the strength of it that is not to your liking? I have never tried aquatic scents so I am clueless.

  13. I would be happy to send you a sample, Clint. Let me know.

Sounds like a bit of a lather hog for sure, Joe. Congrats on finishing another soap! 3 in one year, well done.
It is an adequate strength, Joe. It just isn't memorable for me. It is in the same scent range as Booster Polar Ice or Reserve Cool (or Highland Kootenay Blue, but no way you'd have that one), to my uneducated nose.

Great looking combo, Keith. Used to use Irish Spring soap when I was young- I've looked at that dupe a few times for sure.

  20. Wonderful write up Blair. I do like my coffee. I have always loved percolator coffee. I use a stove top Faberware.
