  1. I recently read that Dove bar soap can give good shaves in a pinch.
  2. Thanks, Jason!

  3. Why did I not remember that? Momentary Lapse of Reason, I suppose. Over the past 4 years, I have slowly transitioned from 100% bowl lathering to 97% face lathering, fwiw. Always hot water shave, cold water rinse.

  5. Wow, Blair. You need help. And, I have the ability to help....drink your coffee.
It would appear that the coffee rabbit hole is about as deep as the shaving rabbit hole. Lots of good info you provided. Thank you for your contribution to the coffee discussion!
  6. a 9 cupper would do,very cool..
  7. I should have just seventeen soaps...:scared003:

  9. Thank you Joe.....might slip a little the next 3 shaves, as I'm doing Barbasol, but with Osage Rub to close. Massachusetts has strange weather in September. But Barby has always been a solid can shave, although it comes out like a snake.
  10. Hi Gary...some warm days ahead, as we begin Indian summer here in Boston. (Hopefully won't last TOO long).
  11. I'm sorry I interrupted the coffee discussion by talkinabout my shave.
  12. Just to point out.....an expresso/coffee mocha pot's capacity may say cups, but it's based on the 2 ounce (or the double shot sized 4 ounce) demitasse cups used for expresso, not all the other (non) standard cup measurements 'round the planet.
  13. Just bought muhself a bag of ground Peet's(Medium..Brazil)
  14. ok thank you..most grateful..

  17. Alright, fellas. With a one day derailment from the soap sample focus, we’re back on track today. Next up for destruction is Black Ship Grooming “Cap ’N Dark Side.

If you’ve read any of my posts recently, since I’ve been using the Blackland Sabre with a GEM PTFE blade, you’re well aware of my feelings towards the combo. I won’t waste any time discussing that today. Matter of fact, I won't get into the soap today either. Give me another day or two with it, and I'll post my thoughts.
Another Ridiculously Awesome Shave today. Gotta head into work, so I'll try to catch up with the coffee...um, 30DC thread later this evening.
    Have a great day, gents!

  18. I actually only use the pot to heat water. The little bubble busted. I liked it better than a tea kettle cause I could throw it in the dishwasher.

I was never able to coffee as good as I've had with an electric percolator. I theorize that my electric coil range was providing over heat areas.

I couldn't find a replacement at the time. No need for one now.
  19. Thank you Jason. I have a few, including Bon Vivant and Gratiot League Square, that I hope DG recreates with the same high standards and quality.
