Another great shave this morning. Nice to have it that way on Throwback Thursday. But especially nice when it's a Canned Cream shave. As I've done in the past, I held the Barbasol under the warm tap water for a minute. This, I believe, is what led to the cream coming out like a cloud, not like a snake. I prefer clouds. I made sure to get a strong amount, doing a little extra where needed. Also made sure to be careful around all of Porcupine Alley. I did manage to get a Knick on the south side, but it was real harmless-I never even noticed it until I saw it later. Cactus Nation good again. It's hard to dig down deep at the Cactus, but you know when you did good. The Osage Rub was a niiiice finish. My first ever Top Of The World Excellent shave using a can&cream.
I have to spend 60 dollars in order to get a 25 dollar reward. It's been about a year and a half since I bought anything from Stirling.
Is that the same Figaro as from Razorocks? And great to see Pete Cardin in use.....I forgot about that one in listing my favorite colognes in the proper thread here.
Wow...time flies. It's been that long for you? I really don't NEED another Stoylin at this time, but my focus is on getting an unscented shave soap for my two Bill Neumann aftershaves.
Thank you Joe.....I sure wish I could get the year Osage began. If I have to do a long-distance call somewhere, I'll do it.
Still more than me. Y'know, that's why I'm holding off on the Stoylin Tony Awards until 2022....trying to reduce, if not finish, my current soaps. Probably won't succeed in this goal.
Thank you Joe. This is one of my favorite brushes. I hope you have a good day as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Actually no, Paul. This soap predates RazoRock significantly. It has no longer been produced for ages. You can still find Figaro soaps, but they aren't the same.
Sept 24 SOTD Good morning guys! I wasn't going to shave until this evening , but since I decided to headshave this morning, I decided to do a complete over the shoulder shave using different gear for each Head Shave: Cremo Sandalwood Cream* Rockwell Model T* Rockwell DE Blade (?)* Stirling Sandalwood AS* Great headshave, but did get a weep. Styptic Pen erased it. * No pic Face Shave: Shavette Shave #203 Parker SRB Rockwell 1/2 DE Blade JR #290 Synthetic Brush Proraso SS and AS JR brush and Proraso did their thing to give me a nice lather with very little effort. Place a new blade in the Parker and went to work. 2 passes and minor touchups gave me BBS without any issues. Slapped on a generous portion of the aftershave and I am ready to face the world. Have an awesome day gents!
