True. Subtleties are lost on me. I can’t pick out individual scent notes. I can, however, smell gasoline.
I must admit, Mr. Cawtuh, I was quite pleasantly surprised to see Doc Ezlovan's "announcement" about putting coffee into play soon. Y'know, as part of my next ManHandsSoaps pair, Brewed Coffee will be one of my choices.
Ahhh, I suppose nothing is "wrong" with them, it's just that it takes me a real long time to cut into those "pancakes". I'm finally making a little headway with the Razorock Lime Burst.
Let me explain something to you, Bruce.....Gasoline is just ONE of the scents thrown together on this baby. It's like my Stephan's Bay Rum.....a bit of clove, yes, but there are some gooodies thrown in to mix with it. (Yell at me later
That’s right...you like to see a soap disappear quickly, huh? They’re very expensive shaving brushes. Several hundred a piece...I think upwards of $500 in some cases. Again, subtle scents are lost in me...I can’t smell the “other stuff” over the gasoline. And, since you brought it up, you can have anything with a clove scent in it too.
Well, I didn't mention the "Q" word . Oh, well I don't need to pay that much for a varlet, great as they must be Is there another powerful scent that could block off others in your shaving experience?
It's ok. We can't read every post. However, before the end of the month, I will do a headshave with a straight or a shavette.
If I recall...I believe you say that you like to see progress being made as you use your soaps. Correct? I’d like to try a Varlet, just to experience it for a shave or two. I can’t imagine I could justify the expense. Another scent that can block off others...? If I’m guessing correctly, you mean that is there any particular scent(s) that are strong enough to keep someone from smelling the other scents of the fragrance?
Spectacular shave setup, Clint! I'm glad you like La Toja aftershave - it really is a great product. I've actually been using La Toja for the past four days.

Agreed. Especially on dense knots where the plug is clearly narrower than the hair above it. I used to flare holes out at the top if I had a really dense knot. Haven’t done it it quite some time, though.
