IMHO, Cyril R. Salter is one of the most underrated brands in wetshaving.
His Luxury Shaving Creams are gorgeous.
    Both mechanics and fragrance.
    With high value for money.

    Here my beloved "Indian Sandalwood".

Excuse me while I’m going to FART! out loud for those who still loves the modern William Mug, because, the lather is a real pain in the bloody bare hairy butt crack. Seriously :shocked003:

Looks too bloody airy, I want thick, dense and creamy not like an airy piss head.

Not too goopy, otherwise, I won’t be able to wipe my bloody hairy bum after I fart out loud.

If you fart in my general direction, I shall taunt you a second time.

If the bum is both bloody and hairy, I suggest refining your bum shaving techniques.

Regarding modern Williams, I have found that it suits my needs. While it is not overly dense, it is quite slick and allows me to see where I am shaving. It rinses clean, leaves my skin smooth, doesn't leave a strong scent, and I never have irritation or nicks while using it. I am typically a one pass shaver, so my shaves are quite quick and the lather holds up long enough for me. And all for a buck a puck. It may not be for everyone but it works well for me.

A few gems I've found, not generally in the spotlight:
Stirling Varen - my search for the "just right" fougere has ended
Geo Trumper Spanish Leather - so perfect for me I had to get the soap tub and a king size matching cologne
M&M Kells - Only used a handful of times but so far simply stupendous

You're all a bunch of silly ka-nih-guts if you ask me.

Derby soap for me.... very arko-ish but equally good.

I also have so many that some just get neglected due to only being able to shave once a day at that.
Have been trying to cycle thru some of them lately. Like Palmolive Stick, this soap is excellent, cheap, and performance wise is could stand with some of the best, perhaps others have more skin care ingredients, but thats what aftershave is used for.

Don’t just stand there, are you going to pass me the toilet paper? Or shall I grab your bloody hands to wipe my hairy butt crack.
