Thanks Joe. Your shave was a great one too. Would be interesting to try the Osage Rub, but i can't really get it anywhere

SEptember Focus Yardley Black Label~~Simpson PL8~~#44 British Gillette Tech/Sharp Star Today, I broke open a NOS container of the undisputed King of vintage shave soaps: Yardley Black Label. The exquisite scent is still very strong off of the puck. No bloom, as my former experience using this soap (I had one and sold it ) knows it is unnecessary. Perhaps my choice of the Polo 8 was a bit large for this container, but I made it work. Soap leapt from the puck and as I have been wont to do, as of late, I went straight to the face. While this photo isn't all that impressive, I can assure you, this knot was "locked and loaded" for bear. In keeping with my almost all "British" theme, I chose the #44 Tech. While I was tempted to open a new Wilkinson Chromium Blade, a.k.a. "Light Brigade", I decided to get one last shave out of the Russian Sharp Star. The results were lovely, although I could sense the end was nigh with this blade. Nevertheless, I caught the baby---even on the neck. One weeper on said neck kept this shave from becoming one for the record books. Finished with another new acquisition, a jumbo 7+ oz. of the matching AS. Outstanding juice.
I can't really order aftershaves from the US to Finland if they contain alcohol, some sort of regulations i think, but can't really remember the details
