  5. Sept 28 SOTA Menthol Monday

    Good afternoon guys!

    Shavette shave #205
    Dovo Shavette
    Personna Hairshaper Blade (6)
    JR # 290 Synthetic Brush
    CF Cryogen SS
    Stirling Sandalwood
    Whisker Growth 30.5 hrs

I decided to bring out the Cryogen because it's been awhile that I felt the chill. The best results for lathering is to always use a synthetic brush with this soap. I dry load the brush and initially dry lather the face. Added small increments of water at a time and eventually got a nice, creamy, cushiony lather. This Personna Headshaper blade is still very sharp for its 6th shave. After 2 passes and minor touchups, I ended with BBS shave. Decided to use the Stirling Sandalwood AS because I need to finish it since I don't have the matching soap. It's always good to get rid of a scented aftershave with an unscented soap. Have a great afternoon fellas! 20200928_162939.jpg

Thanks Gary! Cryogen is a very good soap as long as I continue with my specific lathering method for this soap.
