    Tuesday shave: A big smiling Mike Martinez and second chance at redemption for the Oleo. The soap falls just short of making it in to the rotation so back to the try again at a latter date drawer. I was surprised that edge was not it usual superb self, maybe the soap? Maybe a visit to a finishing stone?

    Great shave, Keith! I’m sure you’ll get that edge issue in shape. I picked up a Frederick Reynolds Victorian razor for $10 in a local antique shop that specialized in furniture. They found it in the pocket of an old Barber’s chair they were refurbishing. There were multiple chips in the edge And the blade was black and wavy as all get-out. Here’s the first photo after the initial cleanup.

    Here it is after spending three 1/2 hours rebuilding the bevel on that crazy wavy blade.

    IMG_20200929_122739_344.jpg Today was a Tabac day, and a fine shave it was. I did hit a small bump, so it wasn't a perfect shave, but very enjoyable.
