Polo Green has top notes of Pine and even though it was created in 1978, it's a very classic and wearable scent. IMO, the best of the POLO line.

Ahh, that just means they got the idea that teens can smell good in oud wood. I support this notion.

i liked it enough that it saves my expensive colognes for more formal outings..also blends nicely.but it only gets used lightly..:)

Disclaimer: All my Polos are Classic Match dupes, but really close to the real thing.
Gotta agree - Original Polo still the best. Polo Blue a close second except the scent doesn't last much longer than a half hour. Polo Black is kinda nice but just a tad too floral, but I still use it on occasion. Have no experience with Polo Red except to know it's supposed to be spicy. A couple weeks ago, just for kicks, I mixed Polo and Polo Black and got a compliment from a lady. True story.

Did she compliment you after she asked what it was, or just walk up and say "You smell nice".

Chiseled Face makes a Pine Tar shave soap. It's on my Christmas list.

Now this may sound funny, coming from a guy who really likes Midnight Stag, but I hated the Pine Tar. Try a sample first, Jim. All TAR...no Pine.

I use Pine Tar or Coal Tar shampoo because of my dry skin. Call me funny, but I do like their scents. Maybe a sample would be a good idea.

Agreed. I would go down to the pond and splash on some pond water before I would wear that mess.

Haven't found an after shave yet, but pine tar is available for making soap. Could be used for adding to an unscented AS, or possibly find a pine tar essential oil.

I use coal tar shampoo as well, and Grandpa's soap. That's why I tried this shave soap. Completely different...promise, especially when shaving with it.

Do you know what the consistency of the Pitralon is? Is it an alcohol based splash or more creamy in nature?

I just ordered a crap-ton of samplers from Stirling, including their conifer, so we'll see how they turn out.
