For the first time since Jimmy Carter was president, I did something new shaving. I shaved with a shavette. A Tuckmar with half a DE blade. I think I should have used something different, but it was what I had. Shave was not bad, one weeper that I do not know from where. Soap gave good cushioning and no burn from the Old Spice

Pre- Proraso Red Sandalwood and Shea butter. Brush- Qshave Pure Badger. Blade- Parker DE. Razor- Gillette Super Speed J4. Soap- Trufitt and Hill Sandalwood. Post- Trufitt and Hill Sandalwood Aftershave lotion. Fragrance- Stetson Original. Long story short I actually shaved twice today, once with the setup pictured this morning and once again just now with my Boker 6/8 straight razor. I had sent my two favourite SR's to Glen @ Gemstar custom razors for honing and I just couldn't wait for tomorrow morning to shave so I took it for a spin and it definitely did not disappoint! Aside from a shavette this was the first shave I've had with a professionally honed razor. I now have a sharpness to compare my honing and stropping to, finally! Such a great experience!
