I’ll try and shave each day using an OC this month. I have a plan to do a personal 7 day challenge of using only TOBS shave creams for a whole week.
thursday OCtober 1st shave 1945 #77 brit new rfb thin handle platinum simpson sunspot baume.be mont blanc legend good morning gents,OCtober is here..my favorite razor month..day one and 10 pages in....get to use some more fall type scents and cool vintage gillettes 1945 and older.started off with the 1945 #77 brit new rfb thin handle,loaded with a new platinum,fabulous baume.be lather built by the simpson sunspot le,the whiskers gave in after 2+ smooth passes for a lovely bbs finish.touch of twisted thayers astringent and capped it off with mont blanc legend edt.awesome.happy OCtober everyone and have a fantastic day..

Interesting. I haven't tried hair conditioner, but have had a few boar knots that I thought didn't give up their lather easily enough. Using them enough to have the tips split properly solved a lot of the issue. Zeniths come to mind for sure. How many days do you have on that knot so far?
This was true even when they were still being made...the prices are insane, now. I still have about 60 left, at least.
Probably even a few more '49s (or '83, same thing) than the '98, I think. The '98 is a keepable handle at least, the '49 is just begging to be knocked apart. Even how the knot is held in it is easier than the '98.
