  4. Nice! I did watch Sorjonen, and i liked it.

If WW2 is of any interest i would highly recommend this https://m.imdb.com/title/tt9604400/ There is a movie version too, but the miniseries has some extra footage which adds a lot i think.

It is based on a book Tuntematon Sotilas (Unknown Soldier) by Väinö Linna. There is a movie from 1955 too, it is a good one as well.

  5. Jason, I have received some very comfortable shaves with the Starling. I have both played the bar and open comb. I used the bar plate once and then switched to the OC. It shaves well, just a very interesting feel when holding it, the razor is light in the hand where as I prefer a more hefty razor.
  6. Thank you for the recommendation. The movie is available to me and I just watched the trailer. Seems like my kind of movie.

Two near BBS shaves with my focus gear, but the blade seemed a little tired today. It had been in the razor about two weeks, as I've mostly been shaving every other day. Seven shaves plus seven extra days of blade edge oxidation was a bit much. Now I know. Even though, I'm still super smooth eight hours post-shave.

    Here's to great weekend!

    Grace and Peace.

  11. I hope you will like it! The wars between Finns and Soviets are kind of forgotten on a global scale.

  19. I unpacked the brush handle this afternoon, Evan. I was immediately wowed by the color and finish. It was simply perfect, and your stamp on the bottom gives it a classy finishing touch. The weight, size, and texture of the handle feel great. Once I add a knot (still considering my options), I will be glad to share my honest impressions. I think it will be a winner. Thank you again for thinking of me. I am honored to have one of your creations. This may be a hobby for you, but this handle will put most commercially available shaving brush handles to shame.

I like Mystery E. Brushworks. It's a word play off of MrEE, and most of the brush handles you make are different from the ones before. I humbly request that my brush is the one and only in the Danger series. :D

Years ago, there was a watch in the Rolex lineup that was a slow seller until they named it the Paul Newman Daytona. Now it is one of the most highly sought after vintage Rolex models. The example worn by Paul Newman sold at auction for $17.8 million. I have similar hopes for my Danger brush. :happy088:

  20. :) Thanks Gary! Still no plans other than help people reference them in their SOTD posts. I'd love to keep improving the quality to the point where they're highly sought-after. Honestly, I get a thrill out of seeing people use them. That's enough for now. Perhaps I'll sell a few on etsy if it gets to that point.
