Small batch Four Roses is great stuff, blended from four bourbons each of which was aged in different woods. The small batch after the blending is then aged in a sherry cask! It’s really nice bourbon! SWMBO just picked up a bottle for me!
It’s a very apt name! A number of guys in other forums commented on it’s heftiness! It is an awesome head shaving brush!
Sounds good, Jeff. Four Roses is a fun distillery to visit, and it's interesting to see how they utilize the ten different recipes. Single Barrel is OBSV. My buddy got to participate in a Four Roses Private Label barrel pick, and he talks about organizing one. I'm on his list, but it will be tough to find enough folks to make the cost manageable. With 10 different Four Roses recipes, you could potentially come up with something that is quite unique.
No shave on Saturday but I did get a nice one in this afternoon. No blood loss with the Shark on its 3rd shave in the R41 head. It is hard to beat the Weber Bulldog handle. The Soap Commander was just awesome and I love this scent. Now I just need to get caught up with all of these post. Y'all take care!
Nice shave, Danny. It's hard to beat an R41 head on a Weber Bulldog handle. That is a nice combination. Hope you are doing well.
Great shave, Joe! Sorry for the delayed response, my friend! I’ve just about sunk my Nancy Boy Signature Tub, only about two or three shaves left, although with the new Monster, probably 1 or two!
