I had 3 post and crowns done at that time and they eventually ended up removing them about 20 years later when the posts failed . Now I wear a plate in that spot. Hard to get used to at first but better than nothing I guess.
Thanks Charlie!! I hope alls well with you and Kathy. Funny you mentioned poutine ....I made some a few nights ago for supper. I'm not a big fan of it but my daughters love it . I'm more of a bbq guy myself. Never been to Minnesota before but have traveled stateside in the past and got to experience some beautiful fall colors throughout New York state and Pennsylvania on one trip. Glad you are back home and getting to enjoy that beautiful house yous built. I'm still pining to refinish the front of this place in brick but these days the prices are absurd. A simple 2x4 here tripled in price since the summer so our reno plans are on hold for now other than a bit more demolition in the basement after the water problem. Sometimes change is good . Take care !
Tapatalk is acting up. I did shave this morning. If Tapatalk opens for me I'll get a picture posted, if not I had a marvelous Monobilt Monday shave. Have a great day my friends!
OCtober 5th Razor: Cooper Monobilt Blade: Voskhod (1) Brush: Rick Montalvo Pre-shave: PAA Cube Soap: Mitchell's Wool Fat PAA Galactic Witch Hazel PAA Star Jelly AS: Brut Monobilt Mitchell's Monday Good morning! Hah, I'm in! Fantastic shave to start the day! Three passes for near BBS. Nearly silent alum. Have a great day! Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
Of course, we have a high end Weber Gas Grill, and SWMBO would appreciate my disassembling and cleaning it! That’s my task for today after my Monobilt shave!
Good morning, gents! I didn't have time to post yesterday, but i did shave. Very comfortable shave without any issues. Todays shave was the same. Four shaves on the current blade, and it feels just fine. The first blade was a dud, as this one is much smoother. Didn't have any good ideas for the picture, so i just used old soviet binoculars as a prop. They seem to be actually quite decent, but i definetly need to clean them up properly and get some lens caps. Have a great day all!
Thanks, Joe! It’s due today, and our mail generally arrives by 4:30 PM. The pictures Glen sent post restoration and pre-honing look great! There was a chip in the middle of the blade. I’m looking forward to shaving with it tomorrow!
Yes, I’ve collected some nice vintage razors. I’ll be listing a fair number of safety razors and maybe even a straight or two next week. I’ve decided that I’ll be focusing on 19th, 18th, and maybe even a 17th century straightS if I can find one in decent shaveable condition. .
Lovely shaves, Keith! Quick question, is your Nichiri a 6/8 by Diamond Hayashi? Mine is called a Nichiri Tokusen. If so, that is the razor Ben pushed me to buy when it became available as unhoned NOS. He built the edge for me on jnats. It’s an incredibly smooth shaver.
Great image of your Mitchell’s Monobilt shave! I plan on the same soap myself this morning, but being a devoted member of MOLC, don’t plan on shaving for an hour or two! Enjoy your day, and stay safe!
OCtober Focus C.O. Bigelow~~dubl duck #4~~2011 Mühle R41/Polsilver SI~~Proraso Unfocussed for this month's focus. The hybrid R41, with it's deeply scalloped safety bar, loaded with a new Polsilver SI. Menthol goodness from the ever-reliable C.O. Bigelow (Proraso) shave cream. Bowl-lathered again with the dubl duck, whose boar stench is starting to abate. What's up with Primo riding the safety bar Has he taken leave of his senses Who can argue with success Take into consideration, one of the most blade-forward DE razors ever created. 24 hours of growth. Uber-sensitive area. ATG pass on the neck without one single gotcha Now, all I have to do is learn how to apply this to my straight shaves. Lovely finish with the Proraso.
Well, fellers, (@Keithmax) retirement is no piece of cake! Deciding on the easy chair for the afternoon and the best time to shave in the morning’s hard work! Whew!!! I’ve been at this for 8 years! It certainly doesn’t get any easier!!
Excellent shave, Joe! I’ve notified MOLC headquarters of your intention to retire in 35 weeks, and frankly, they’re pretty pissed with this last minute notification on your part!!! I just hope we can get the inaugural slippers and bathrobe embroidered by then! You kids, always in a big rush!!
