    The soap actually weighed more each day at the beginning as it absorbed water. So I guess the actually soap used was much more than 1 gram a shave. Even at that rate is a pretty heavy load on such a hard soap.

    Excellent shave and report Joseph. I think riding the cap is the place to start with any DE razor. This is even more true with beginners. However, riding the cap is most often not the best or most efficient angle.

    Congrats on the impending delivery. Please post pics and your thoughts when the package arrives.
