Wednesday's Shave #OCtober 1919 Gillette Old Type Gillette Platinum (4) JR #314 Cocobolo Wood Two Band Badger Vintage WIlliams Mug Shaving Soap Dickinson's Witch Hazel Pinaud Lilac Vegetal Today I used my other Gillette Old Type. This one has a J series serial number and is older than yesterday's OT. Both are great shavers. 2 passes today using exceptional Vintage Williams lather provided an efficient and comfortable shave this morning. As the modern Veg has been aging in the vintage bottle, I've noticed a slight change in the scent. I guess the advocates of decanting from plastic into glass may be on to something. Thank you again, @Primotenore , for enabling this shave.
I give away practice pieces as gifts when I'm perfecting a new design. I admit that's pretty random, and there's no telling what you'll get or when you'll get it. I'll add you to that list if you'd like. Just PM me. Some have offered to trade for a brush. While I didn't intend for it to happen that way, I admit those individuals all have brushes right now. PM me and tell me what you're interested in. We'll work something out. Also, I have most the parts for adding a 4th axis to my CNC machine. Soon I will reconfigure my machine for milling those parts and likely won't make brushes for a while. However when done I'll be able to make much more intricate designs. Thanks Andrew. I'm approaching the half-way mark on the Mike's puck, and I'm determined to knock it out before I move on. This one is definitely in my top 5 due to performance and scent.
