I normally have used a BiC Chrome-Platinum blade since day-1 and it's worked out great, but I think it's time to test out other blades to find out if anything can beat my standard smoothies. I will begin with what is, IMO, one of the better blades I've shaved with that normally goes in my Edwin Jagger DE-89 "Kelvin". Let's find out how well it shaves in the PAA SS Ascension...

***EDIT - 2-pass + minor clean up in spots. Excellent shave! The Astra seemed to cut better at the angle this razor uses when it's screwed all the way down. I got no irritation and an excellent result.

Prep: Warm shower / Original Source ~ Tingly Mint & Tea Tree Shower Gel.

Pre:
Cold wet flannel to my face.
Simple ~ Sensitive Bar Soap + Nuage Menthol shaving Oil.
Brush : Turkish Unbranded Boar.
Face Lather.
Frankensoap : (Grated) Arko Shave stick + Dettol Original Anti Bacterial Bar Soap & Palmolive Classic Shave Stick.
Blade: Personna Gem PTFE. (4)
Razor: Ever Ready 1924.

Post:
Cold Water Face Rinse./Homemade peppermint Lavender eucalyptus, + Tea Tree Oil Witch Hazel Mixture./ Arko ~ Cool ASL/Cologne + Aftershave Balm./Wilko ~ Men's Moisturiser.

The Every Ready 1924 i find the most assertive of all the Ever ready SE razors which took a few shaves adjusting to it's assertiveness. The 1924 holds quite a lot of water in the cap head when rinsing but a quick shake removes it instantly. Just like my other SE razors this vintage lady provides a pleasurable irritation-free comfortable shave, today was no exception.An enjoyable 3 pass + pick ups near BBS shave with no errors to report.

Finishing the shave off with a generous dollop of Arko ~ Cool Aftershave Balm.

My face is feeling super smooth & smelling divine.

Yesterday's shave was just so nice I repeated the exact same shave today. Though it is a different brush, it's the same knot.

No window: I got up too early again.
Today there is a stranger, but I promised to put the Leica in one of my SOTDs.

Finally I used the beloved Knize Ten!
If I had woken up later, I wouldn't have done it: the Saxon soap, whose fragrance resembles the inside of a tailor's shop (wonder why...).

Unfortunately, my aftershaves are not fragrance-free: that's why today I used an almost scentless one: to go from the taylor's shop notes of the soap to taylor's shop notes of the EdT: I hope my groupies won't create traffic jams in Pavia!

And I used a razor that I had forgotten about! A beautiful little machine...

And... yes! today Chet Baker was perfect!
