October 8th Tabac SS & EdC Zingari Man ASB Zenith Olive Wood Boar Blackland Tradere Voskhod Teflon Coated (1) My one OC October weekly shave.....figured I'd forgo an open blade shave as I'm a little time constrained from the last 12 hours of home ownership emergency plumber duties. Tabac face lathered fun, awesome flowery aroma made with a newish Zenith olive wood handled boar. Nice face feel from the stiffish bristles of the boar, great face massage with no scritch at all. 2 mindless passes using the Blackland Tradere loaded with a fresh Voskhod (got 100 for $7 delivered last week on Amazon....couldn't pass that up). BBS results everywhere, save for barely a pencil eraser area around yesterday's issue on the upper lip/skin transition, didn't want to start a crimson flow again. Couple squirts of the ZM ASB into the palms, rub around for a great skin nourishment. Some Tabac EdC, and I'm ready for lunch and work. Tabac, wifey says.....'it's nice, not bad at all'. Which, in 27 years of her comments I interpret as (I think )....'it's okay, nothing special nor nothing bad'. I commented that it smells better than any plumber that might've shown up at the hour the shower broke....and we both laughed. Have a great Thursday gentlemen. I'll catch up tonight.
Did you sat flat bottom or fat bottom? Sorry all of the Queen discussion from yesterday had me confused. Great shave Gary and the flat bottom is gorgeous ! Now a little Fat Bottom from Small Town Titans out of York, Pennsylvania.
Great Tradere shave, Blair! Glad it went well! Given the amount of stress you’ve been under putting the straight down and picking up the safety razor is strongly in line with one of Chairman (@Keithmax) Keith’s straight shaving Maxims: “If you are not focused or just don't 'feel it' then put down the straight and pick up a safety razor.”
My brain is wired the exact opposite. I would much rather sharpen a knife than a straight razor. Come to think of it, that may be a small revelation of why I like quarter hollow, near wedge or wedge straight razors more. Hmm. Thanks Jeff for making me think!
