  1. Hello all.
Wanted to chime in on the morning shaves.

    Tuesday....

    A Gillette old type slant.

    Wednesday....

    A Gillette tech slant.

    This morning...
    20201008_072632.jpg
    Another Gillette tech slant.

All of these are on loan from Ryan @PLANofMAN .
All great razors, the techs are a bit mild for me though.

    The colonoscopy went fine.
I did the prep starting at work and ending at home.
No issues there, been there done that.
    The procedure was rather simple.
Getting to the surgery unit, prepped and lying on the Gurnee.
I told the nurse about to give me the sleepy juce, "nite, nite".
I woke up in the big curtain room ready to go home.
I was told by my doc that all was good as can be, no problem!
Not another one for 10 years unless needed.
Wow! 10 years. I used to have to have them every 2 years, now it's 10!
    Im feeling great!
I'm not sure why some worry about having to get one.
Gosh! They could have half a dozen of mine...lol.
To celebrate I made myself a big plate of shrimp fired rice, a big chunk of bread pudding, then a bowl of fresh strawberries for desert.

All is well here in the woods tonight!

    Everyone
    Enjoy!

  6. Great image again of the Tatara gear Clint, very nice!

That's an awesome restoration transformation Danny! Quite well done, perfect soap name match too.

Fun image Daniel! I'm right there with you on music while shaving. I play everything from classical to big band to blues to FFDP metal to smooth jazz to whatever is the mood. Makes it fun or relaxing...enjoyable. In fact, today I brought in my 'travel' BT speaker to the bathroom, as the battery died on the usual culprit.
  7. Great results and report Paul, TOTWE nice!

  13. Cool report and nostalgic details Matthew. And wow, that's a lot of shaves on a blade. My Grizzly Adams hair beats a DE blade into jagged submission well before that.

Love the image and setup Jeff! Such details....USB microscope honing inspections? Wow, love it!

  16. Nice David!

The best shaving razors, safety razor or not....are the ones that shave without blade feel. Now...that's somewhat an oxymoron, got it, cause a lot of us talk about blade feel from time to time. I think it's a unique quality, call it a hairline balance, where a razor you are using (SE or DE safety razor, but even open edges), where you can feel the blade working, but not the blade cutting (meaning it's doing it's work super efficiently and smoothly). This is what is different in my mind for each of us...kind of a built in self realized muscle memory TTT thing. If that makes sense....maybe I just need more coffee.

Love that setup Andrew! Cool razor & everything else.
  17. Great looking setup and shave, Joe. Love the wedge Wosty!

I like the SAW rotation idea, but I'm too impulsive for the different aromas. I was thinking of a RAW the other day....a Razor A Week. And then blew that idea knowing I couldn't last more than 2-3 days using the same razor. See what all this collaborative enabling's done to me? :happy097::happy102:
