Thank you guys. The 9/15/20 deadline for pass through entities taxes was the worst and most stressful we've had in over 15 years. The 10/15/20 deadline looks like it is going to be even worse. We already have people being short with one another and a few screaming matches with some f bombs already today and we still have six days left. Unfortunately it looks like I will be working at least Saturday if not Sunday as well.
Tracking shows that it just entered the country. I was enabled by Terry after his solid review of one and my lack of any 1/2 blade razors.
Thank you Jason. I have been sticking with the Grand Bay Rum aftershave all week. I just forgot to mention it. Thank you Joe.
SOTD FRIDAY MORNING, OCTOBER 9, 2020 Our weather here in SE Pa. has been glorious over the last week or so. I've been having such great shaves lately with a few of my cast steel Sheffield English and German straight razors that I have been neglecting my two Japanese straights. For this morning’s shave I selected my Silver Steel Tanifuji Airi 11/16 and my Valet VC2. I love shaving with both razors. I touched up the Tanifuji on a pasted and then a leather strop, and stropped the Feather FAS-10 carbon steel blade in the VC2 50 strokes. The result was an amazingly smooth, velveteen shave of both mug and noggin. The straight razor shave was as whisker-meltingly glorious as the morning. The Valet Auto Strop VC2 dome shave only confirmed why I love these safety razors; it was just as close, clean and velveteen as its preceding mug shave. I do believe that the stropping capability of these razors with a carbon steel blade elevates their shaving capabilities. Have a great and enjoyable day, my shave brothers and sisters! RAZOR: Tanifuji Airi 11/16 (Mug), Valet Auto Strop Model VC2 (Dome) BLADE: Feather FAS-10 PREP: Cold water rinse followed by Argan Oil BRUSH: MrEE Monster Aluminum Tuxedo Synthetic CREAM: Castle Forbes Lime POSTSHAVE: Cold water wash with brush squeezings followed by Humphreys Lilac WH and Osage Rub. Finished with Royall Lyme AS Splash.
I guess I have been clicking on these links for watches too much lately. Random ads are popping up now for Timex and Armitron (they have some cool retro 70's and 80's styles I saw).
I am keeping my head down. I finished two tax returns. I will be out of the office at a client site all afternoon which is good thing today
Oct 9 SOTD Fine Friday Shave Good morning fellas! Shavette Shave #206 Parker SRB 1/2 Rockwell DE Blade (3) MrEE Synthetic Brush Fine Italian Citrus Shave Soap Aqua Velva Ice Blue Whiskers: 24 hrs This is the second time that I have used Evan's brush and it really did an awesome job lathering my face. The Fine Italian Citrus was gifted to me by Danny and again, I thank you. It is very easy to lather, but the scent is non-existent on my face, however, off the puck I get a slight pleasant scent. I only did 2 passes for an IBSS++ shave and didn't get any blood loss or irritation. Went with the old standby Aqua Velva to finish the shave. Have a fine Friday guys!
