  4. Awesome video and commentary Fuzzy. Is it horse feathers or horsefeathers? ;)Never could figure that out. Favorite sayings from my grandparents where I spent many summers over in Bogalusa. Thanks for the pleasant reminder.

  8. Looks great Evan. What Omega are you using for a donor? I have an aluminum Rubberset that I need to knot.

  9. If the soap doesn’t fill the container pretty tightly then I grate the soaps. Not quite all triple milled grated. But more do than don’t.

  10. Thank you, Danny. I lived in T-Town from '96-'06 and I wish I got back there more often. My son was born at Northport DCH. I'll let you know when I go back for a visit. I'm craving some good eats from the Pottery Grill! :eatdrink020:

  11. Thank you, Jeff. I've given the MWF more than its fair share of love...but if I brought it on this trip, it would be time to go home before I had time to make a good lather. :D I've never used a soap that is so finicky. However, I did conquer it on Friday morning, so I am content.
  12. Excellent!

  16. Sounds great! Both of mine were born at Northport DCH as well. The Pottery grill in Northport closed down but I think there is still one on highway 11.
  17. Good shave this morning. 0:30 to load the Jeeves Bay Rum onto the big Stoylin brush. After what seems like years, the Bay Rum soap is finally showing a bit of a dent in the jar, along with the "liquid soap" in the center. A couple other of my soap jars have the same "liquid" showing. As I spread the soap across my face and neck, I wanted to be sure to get a good amount onto a small area just below my right ear and jawline. That spot in particular has become easy for me to miss of late, thus it needs extra attention. Also the areas that border North Porcupine Alley ask for extra attention. 2 healthy passes , one tiny Knick midway through the second. No harm done. Cactus Nation looks and feels fine. Stephan Bay Rum A.S. for the close. I'll give it a Super Duper Excellent, due to the Knick, and not getting ALL of that aforementioned right ear/jawline area.

    Good morning guys!

    Straight Razor Shave #217
F W Engel Special 5/8 Full Hollow Sq Point
    Stirling Boar Brush
Music City Suds Lavender SS and AS
    Whiskers: 47.5 hours

The Stirling Brush performed very well and has really become a soft feeling boar. The MCS Lavender really is strong off the puck and is one of my favorite scents. It really gives a nice, creamy, slick lather that just makes the blade slide smoothly off my face. I decided to refresh the blade on my crox pasted strop. The result w two passes that gave me a nice BBS -. Did get 2 small weeps on my lower neck, but no irritation appeared. I usually don't go that low on my neck, but that's my price to pay for doing so. The blade was a little too aggressive so I will tone it down on the films before I use it. Finished with the matching aftershave. I really am quite happy with this shave! Have a great Sunday guys! 20201010_202024.jpg
  20. They had just finished the renovations on the Women's Pavillion when my my son was born there. Great place, although the pullout chair/bed thingy wasn't that comfortable for me though... Not that I had much time to sleep anyway.

I always ate at the original Pottery Grill location in Cottondale. A very good friend of mine was a partner/manager there for some time. They opened the Northport location around the time I moved to Atlanta. Now I'm thinking of other places I miss there...Mr. Bill's, City Cafe, Archibalds, La Fiesta. :eatdrink020:
