awesome karve shave and pic Clint.love the black simpson..i have the Lea shave cream tube...nice stuff..
I'm going to compromise.....not saying I'm officially giving up on the 3 pass plan, but I'm going to experiment with getting back to 2, but spending more time sweeping my face and neck with the soap. With some Youtube video shavers, I end up saying, "Ya done with the soap already????"
Thanks Gary....but as I've been implying today-3 passes appears to weaken the aftershave scent(for me anyway).
That 3rd soap application brings out the soap scent to a point where the aftershave has little scent. While the shave itself is fine, you just have to say "Where's the aftershave??
i think your nose is just adjusting ,like one can't smell a cologne after you wear it a few days in a row,but everyone else can.
Thanks, a very kind gesture...Your right the shipping would be a high price to pay for a very inexpensive blade!....Besides that, i have enough DE blades to last me for a few years & more..DE blades are very subjective. My mature 'Rhino's Arse' skin type gets on with most DE blades i have tried.I had a bad shaving experience with a Derby Extra when i first started out, which i avoided like the plague, but months later after i had developed my technique & gained shaving confidence i realised the bad shaving experience was cause by me, not the Derby extra blade...A bad worker always blames his tools. Regards. Barry.
Well, Stephan Bay Rum aftershave is no Old Spice/Clubman/Aqua Velva/take your pick......but I do get a better scent of it with the 2 passes, as opposed to 3,
Beautiful shave, Keith. Sorry abou the alum. I eventually lose every alum block by dropping it. I'm trying something different with my current one. It's about the size of a potato chip. I clasp it between both hands, "lather" it like soap, put it down before I drop it, and then rub my hands on my face. It also works for coating my fingertips so that I can stretch my skin during the shave. I may actually get to use up this alum block. I have since purchased alum in a deodorant applicator, and I like this method of application better. Almost forgot...The G3 is gonna need some gas when it lands in Seoul. I found myself tapped out after my worldwide ice cream tour. I never should have taken the side trip to Basel or went on the safari in Kenya. The days run together now, but it seems like I still had a few euros when I was at the Louvre, but then again, I grabbed a case of MdC and visited the Patek Philippe Salon before we departed. You're also out of snacks, drinks, and those fancy Keithmax napkins and decks of cards in the galley. At least I left a couple pucks of Tabac in the lavatory. Sorry about the BBQ sauce stains on the carpet. The vacuum picked up all the pork rind crumbs. I didn't have time to check, but you may find a few empty cans under the seats.
