Mail call today and I'm so excited! First, let me thank Clint @clint64 for his generous loan of such a fine razor. His trust means a lot and I thank him. Thats right guys......a brass Blackland Blackbird. Now I have only seen pictures of these birds in the wild but this is the first one I have held and the feeling in the hand is amazing. Well balanced and the machine work is just amazing. Now I will be truthfull and I always thought the handle would be uncomfortable and a pain to grip but that is not the case. Surprisingly, the handle is very comfortable and controllable. I will need a few shaves under my belt but I think I will really love this razor. I know this is Open Comb October but this baby is getting test run this week. Thanks again Cliff and I appreciate it greatly. Your baby will be well cared for during its stay in Alabama.
With the disposeABLE, I don't need to focus on angling-more than I would a regular razor. We're talkin either Knicks or weepers then.
O.K. Blair......that brush is calling me like a pair of shoes calls my wife. Love everything about the shave and the reflection of the brush in the razor.
You already forgot @clint64's name, Danny. How about the return address? Congrats and kudos to Cliff for sharing!
Clint......who? Return address was on the box.......oh no....trash has already picked up. What am I to do? Charlie, PM your address to me in a couple if weeks. I'll include cookies !
I haven't used disposables like a Bic razor in a long time. However, I disagree that you don't need to focus on angle because you use a disposable. Anytime you use any razor, you need to get the angle right, even if the razor's geometry sets the angle. Just putting the razor on your face and moving it does not make a shave great. Disposable razors should be the easiest razor to shave without getting daily nicks like you do. Therefore, you don't have optimal technique for your razor. I would go on youtube to see how someone uses your specific razor and see what you are doing differently that causes your frequent missteps. I am not there to see what causes your errors to offer suggestions. Every one of us at 30 DC wants you to have shaves that are error free at least 90 percent of the time. I have to give props to you for not getting down on yourself.
